Instructions for packaging & shipping
your jewelry for donation
Throw any of your unwanted jewelry into the donation envelope, seal it up and send it off! Make sure that the label is properly attached, showing the name of the organization you are supporting, and the envelope is properly sealed and you’re good to go!
Some more in-detail tips:
We accept and appreciate all types of jewelry, including broken jewelry, costume jewelry, anything! Even if you think you should throw it out, please don’t! just send it to us. It may be of value to someone else, you never know. The only exception to that would be plastic Mardi Gras beads, you can throw those away, we can’t use them, but literally any other jewelry other than that, please send it to us even if it’s broken or damaged.
There is no need to clean any of the jewelry, send it as is. we will clean everything in house. Some jewelry cleaning products can even damage some types of jewelry, so it is best to just send it to us directly as is, we appreciate it and thank you!
If you have a lot of chains or necklaces that are not tangled and you want to make sure they don’t get tangled up in shipping, there is an easy way to do so. Just set them in a regular piece of paper and fold the paper over a couple times and then put that in the envelope. It prevents them from getting tangled. This is not necessary, but it’s appreciated if they’re already not tangled.
If you have any original receipts, paperwork or any history on any piece, please include it! Even if you don’t have any paperwork, if you know an item or know some history about it and want to include a little note that may be helpful, that would be great to make sure we don’t miss anything that you know is antique or special in some way, but again that is totally unnecessary, and our processors are very talented and skilled at identifying jewelry from all eras and all parts of the world.
